Feasibility study for North West region electricity project.

This project involved application of Multi Criteria Decision Analysis and Cost Benefit Analysis to identify the optimal powerline route that minimises environmental costs

 

Feasibility study for ZiZABONA (Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia) electricity project

The project involved application of Multi Criteria Decision Analysis and Cost Benefit Analysis to identify the optimal powerline route that minimises environmental costs. The project was undertaken on an environmentally sensitive area comprising of protected areas and wetlands.

 

Appraisal on Optimising Financial and Operational Management Effectiveness of Protected Area in Botswana.

The main aim of the project was to identify Protected Area management system that will maximise financial returns and also improve biodiversity management effectiveness of the PA. Techniques that were employed to achieve the objective included CBA, MCDA, Financial Models, Valuation Techniques (TCM, HPM, CVM)

 

Sustainable Housing Delivery Model.

This project was undertaken to assess the feasibility and viability of privatising mining houses with the main aim of identifying the most optimal way to dispose the houses. Techniques that were employed include system thinking, dynamic models to assess and simulate impacts on productivity, environmental and social. In addition, CBA and MCDA were also used.

 

Mainstreaming Sustainable Land Management in Rangeland Areas of Ngamiland Productive Landscape for Improving Livelihoods.

The project involved an assessment of methods that would be employed to enhance sustainability in the Ngamiland Rangeland. It involved a baseline assessment of natural resources utilisation by the community, factors inhibiting resources utilisation by gender and development of scorecard for the livestock sector with the aim of improving the sectors.

 

Financial and economic analysis of Chobe Kwando Linyanti Protected Area matrix.

The project's objective was to undertake environmental valuation of the Protected Area using HPC, CVM, TCM. In addition, the project involved an assessment of resources utilisation in the area and identification of  factors inhibiting utilisation of natural resources.
